Does Elden Ring Mean Bloodborne Two Isn’t In Development?

BloodBorne, an action role-playing game from the same makers of Elden Ring and Dark Souls, made its debut in 2015 and has reached the status of universal acclaim among critics. Many believed Bloodborne was a much better product than Dark Souls. However, we haven’t heard anything regarding a sequel to a game that sold millions of copies within its first year, far exceeding their sales expectations.

Fans Are Waiting For A Sequel To Bloodborne

It’s almost silly not to capitalize on a game that’s not only built a loyal fanbase, but has been more than a commercial success. However, while Bloodborne and Elden Ring are from the same developer, there are clear differences between the two. Bloodborne set itself apart from Dark Souls by having slightly different combat and a surprisingly darker aesthetic. Elden Ring looks like it’s taking a lot from Dark Souls while mixing in open-world gameplay elements. That means fans of Bloodborne can still await the possibility of a Bloodborne two while Elden Ring is in development.

Elden Ring Is The Next Game From FromSoftware

Miyazaki has already confirmed that Elden Ring is the next game they’re working on. While they had to throw Elden Ring on the backburner because of Sekiro, it looks like Elden Ring has their 100% focus. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a game waiting on the back burner, much like Elden Ring was. They could have Bloodborne 2 waiting for Elden Ring to wrap up production, but that means we won’t see the possibility of a Bloodborne two until almost ten years after the original game was made.
